Sturgeon Bay hosts rival Eagles on 103.3 The Clipper

After clinching the playoffs with a win over the Mishicot Indians last week, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers will welcome in the Southern Door Eagles for the regular season finale.

Sturgeon Bay (5-3 Overall, 4-2 Packerland), defeated Mishicot 41-24 last week, as Caleb Plzak threw for 311 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win. The running back turned Quarterback after the injury to previous QB Danny Lodl impressed last week, leading the offense down the field almost every drive against the Mishicot defense. David Zuehlke and Mason Sacotte were both able to find the end zone for the Clippers, as the offense was alive early and often. The starting defense only gave up 8 points to the offense, as Mishicot tacked on their points with some backups in the game for Sturgeon Bay. The Clippers will be facing the best team in the conference however, with the Eagles coming to town for Sturgeon Bay’s homecoming.

Southern Door (8-0 Overall, 6-0 Packerland), are coming off the biggest game of the year, as they took down the Kewaunee Storm 19-14 behind the stellar play of the defense. Southern Door has allowed 26 points so far this season in conference play, and will look to slow down the Clippers offense this week. The Eagles offense can score as well, as Drew Daoust has been able to use his legs and his arms to lead the offense as Daoust had a hand in every touchdown for the Eagles last week. Southern Door will want to put together a full game, and potentially spoil the Clippers beloved homecoming.

Gary Barta and Bryan Mazur will be on the call from Memorial FIeld with 6:45 set for the pregame show, with a 7:00 kickoff on 103.3 The Clipper, 96-7 WBDK HD-2, and NewRadioSportsNetwork.com.
