Clippers soccer looks to carry momentum into Peshtigo

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers hope their match against Green Bay East was the kickstart they need for the rest of the 2022 campaign that continues Thursday at Peshtigo.

The Clippers erupted for five goals against the Red Devils after having goalies post clean sheets against them in five of their previous six matches. Most of their struggles as of late have been against quality Division 1 programs, going 0-3-1 against them during the month before the Green Bay East match. Against other opponents in other divisions, they are 2-1 in the month of September.

The Bulldogs are 2-5 on the season, with wins against Marinette and Kewaunee their lone bright spots. They have given up eight goals in their last two of their last three starts, including 8-1 to Three Lakes/Phelps on Tuesday.

Match time is set for 4:30 p.m.
