Clippers soccer break the scoring drought, beat Blazers on The Clipper

After a scoreless first half of play, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer team found the back of the net for the first time in over three games with a Gavin Fernandez goal in the 42nd minute of play (assisted by Issac Schulz).

The Clippers wouldn't take long to extend that lead, with another goal added by Fernandez less than nine minutes later, assisted by Alas. The Blazers would be awarded a penalty kick in the 56th minute of play, where Brady Paul for N.E.W. Lutheran took the shot and scored off the rebound, making the game 2-1. Ending the scoring for the night would be Sturgeon Bay's Isaac Schulz, who found side netting off of a corner kick in the 59th minute of play, and that's where the game would end, the Clippers beat the Blazers 3-1 at Clark Field. The defense played strong again for the Clippers, led by Hubbard, Hooker, Hintz, and Marsh. The next broadcast for Clippers soccer will be Friday, September 16th, when they travel to Bay Port.
