Sturgeon Bay looks to get back on track on 103.3 The Clipper

The first conference game in 4 seasons for the Clippers will be a trip to Bonduel where they will have a matchup with the Bears of Bonduel.

Sturgeon Bay (1-1), is fresh off of a close and hard fought loss to the Antigo Red Robins 21-14. The Clippers were unable to hold off the running attack of Antigo, as they were able to run for 203 yards on Sturgeon Bay, led by Alec Knapkavage with 111 yards of his own. The offense of the Clippers struggled to get anything going, with Kordell Anderson providing a spark on a kickoff return, but not much else done on the ground or through the air. The offense will look to get right back on track against the Bears.

Bonduel is also 1-1 on the season, after winning their Week one game over Cuba City 39-14, but ultimately falling to the Cougars of Coleman 22-15. After being conference champions in the shortened 2020 covid football season, the Bears took a dip in production last year, going 5-6 overall and 5-2 in the Packerland conference. The offense for the Bears ride on the backs of Quarterback Noah Weier and Running Back Louis Hrabik. The Bears will look to sink the Clippers, as the winning team puts themselves in a good spot for a conference title position, while the other looks to gain some ground after the first week.

Quinn Struck and Gary Barta will have the call from Bonduel on 103.3 The Clipper, 96.7 WBDK HD-2 and NewRadioSportsNetwork.com
