Sturgeon Bay changes coaches; Waterstreet steps in

New Head Coach Carl Waterstreet has been put in charge of the Sturgeon Bay Football program after spending time as an assistant coach on previous head coach Jim Adams’ staff. Adams resigned from his position back in January, after being the active coach for years.

Waterstreet had worked closely with Coach Adams, and might even carry over some traits that he learned from his time under his wing. Whether it be practice styles, or a similar type of scheme, there is sure to be some sort of familiarity within the program.

Sturgeon Bay is going to be squaring off with the Wildcats of Green Bay West in Week 1. West went 1-8 last season, with their only win coming against their rivals Green Bay East. They were outscored in the FRCC-South 51-310 last season, only better than East.

Waterstreet has been an assistant at Sturgeon Bay for 4 years and is very excited to get started with the team he has on the field this season.

His players seem excited to be coached by him as well, as they have gone on record saying that he brings in a great winning philosophy that the players love to be around. Coach Waterstreet looks to have the right mindset and the ability to lead Sturgeon Bay back to its success, this time in 11-Player Football.
