Clippers soccer powers past Valders

Three first-half goals helped the Sturgeon Bay girls' soccer team secure its fourth conference win with a 5-2 decision over Valders.

Scarlet Serafico scored a pair and Emma Reichel earned her own tally off a loose ball after a corner kick to make 3-0 at the end of one half.

The two sides would play even in the second half with both teams scoring two goals. Allison Hobbs and Paula Wienke scored the goals for the Clippers while it was Sage Meyer putting the Vikings on the board with a pair of goals.

The Clippers split duties in the net Thursday with Drew Starr playing the first half and Isabella Jimenez giving goalkeeping a try in the second half.

Conference record now 4-1-1, overall 6-5-2
