Clippers baseball hosts Preble under the lights

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers will turn the lights on at Memorial Field for its 6:30 p.m. game against Green Bay Preble Monday night.

 

The Clippers lost a pair of games Saturday to undefeated Chilton. Game one ended in a 1-11 loss. Chris Lodl and Braeden Haines each claimed one hit each, with Braeden's hit claiming him an RBI. Chris Lodl controlled the mound claiming five strikeouts before he was relieved by Brody Kollath. Game two ended in a 1-14 loss. The Clippers got the bats swinging some more in game two. Danny Lodl, Curt Meyer, and Chris Lodl all had hits of their own; Curt Meyer's double was the highlight of the day. Bennett Johnson controlled the mound, claiming two strikeouts of his own, until he was relieved by Emmett Braschnewitz who claimed one strikeout. 

 

The Hornets are 10-3 on the season, winning three of their four games in the month of May.

 

Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
