Sturgeon Bay baseball traveled to NEW Lutheran High School in Green Bay Tuesday to play our season opener. What started out as a very beautiful evening, ended abruptly as the game was called due to severe weather in the beginning of the seventh inning with the score being tied one to one. Shall the Clippers need to play that final inning at some point in the season to determine conference rankings, the Clippers will, otherwise it will remain as an incomplete tie. Coach Propsom was very impressed with the team, especially the team's defensive side, and he looks forward to watching the team grow throughout the rest of the season. Out of all six innings, the highlights listed below are noted: 

- Bennett Johnson went two for three with a double to kick off the game and a single later on in the game. 

- Chris Lodl also went two for three with two singles.

- Jace Johnson pitched all six innings with eight strikeouts.
