The Sturgeon Bay Clippers hope to take a step forward again after losing its homecoming game when they return to Memorial Field Friday night to battle Athens. 

The Clippers received two touchdowns from Braeden Haines but it was not enough as they lost to Thorp 40-24. Mason Sacotte had a catch in the loss.

Athens put up over 460 yards of offense and found the endzone several times in its 72-16 win over Lake Holcombe last week.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
