The colors of several local cross country teams will be found Thursday afternoon as they zip around the course at Mishicot.

 

Sturgeon Bay, Gibraltar, Sevastopol, Luxemburg-Casco, Algoma, and Kewaunee are all scheduled to run at the invitational. Other teams competing on Thursday include West De Pere, Seymour, Brillion, Cedar Grove-Belgium, Chilton, Coleman, De Pere, Fox Valley Lutheran, Hilbert, Kiel, Little Chute, Manitowoc Lutheran, New Holstein, Oconto Falls, Ozaukee, Random Lake, Roncalli, Sheboygan Lutheran, Two Rivers, Oconto, Notre Dame De La Baie Academy, Bay Port, Oneida Nation, NEWCHAA, Reedsville, Denmark, and Wrightstown.

 

The Kewaunee boys and Luxemburg-Casco girls teams were the top area squads at the 2019 meet, which was the last time the local schools competed at the event.

 

The first varsity high school race is expected to begin at 4:15 p.m. with the boys followed by the girls at 4:50 p.m.
