Johnson, Kurek lead Clippers cross country at Valders

The Sturgeon Bay cross country teams faced stiff competition from some of the state's best during Thursday's invite at Valders.

 

Julia Kurek was the only top 25 finisher among the two squads, pacing the girls with a 22:54 and a 17th place finish. The girls as a team finished in seventh place with 225 points.

 

Jace Johnson led the boys to an 11th place finish, scoring 259 points. He ran a 20:12 5K time, which was good for 35th place.
