Baseball: Clippers even record in big win

Fireworks came fast and early for Sturgeon Bay when they scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning against Peshtigo on Tuesday. The Clippers went on to win the game by a final score of 12-7. Getting a pair of RBIs were Abram Abeyta, Emmet Braschnewitz, Curt Meyer, and Carter Henry. Braeden Haines and Anthony Jennerjohn each hit .1000 in the game, as Jennerjohn had four hits and Haines had two, and drew two walks. 

 

On the mound, Jace Johnson took the victory. Johnson went over four innings, giving up four runs, and earning six strikeouts. Sturgeon Bay moved to .500 on a couple accounts. The win improves the Clippers Packerland Conference record to 4-4 and their overall record to 9-9. Their next matchup will be a home one against Green Bay NEW Lutheran on Thursday, with a 5:00 PM first pitch.
