Sturgeon Bay baseball faced an Algoma team that is hungry for their first win on Thursday. Algoma will have to stay chasing the first win as the Clippers would down the Wolves 4-2. The Clippers would get an early 2-0 in the first inning with hits from Anthony Jennerjohn and Andrew Carbajal. In the fifth inning for Sturgeon Bay, Abram Abeyta, Curt Meyer, and Andrew Carbajal would get hits and Sturgeon Bay would get two more runs. 

The Wolves would cut into the lead in the sixth inning with two runs. It would not be enough however as Sturgeon Bay would hold on to a two run victory. In the non-conference matchup following, Sturgeon Bay would win 7-1.
