Sturgeon Bay returns home against Sevastopol

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers football team will return home for the first and last time this season when it hosts Sevastopol Friday evening.

 

The Clippers have not played in the city of Sturgeon Bay since 2019 when it lost to Algoma 52-10. This season, it has played the majority of its games at Capital Credit Union Park, going 2-1 in those games. Last week in its first road contest, the Clippers rushed for over 260 yards and six scores in a 50-34 win against Gibraltar.

 

The Pioneers come into the game 0-2 in their second attempt at a season this school year. In its most recent game, Jack de Young threw for over 330 yards and five touchdowns and Spencer Evenson ran for another 115 yards. It was not enough however as NEW Lutheran's Marshal Bukowski ran for over 220 yards and three scores as the Blazers beat the Pioneers 54-36.

 

Brady Tooley and Reece Robillard will have the game on the NEW Radio Sports Network beginning with the pregame show at 4:30 p.m. followed by kickoff at 5 p.m.
