Racing against the boys posed no problems for Sturgeon Bay's Julia Kurek Tuesday afternoon in Kewaunee.
Kurek ran a season-best 22:16 on a day when the boys and girls races were combined. Mikayla Laluzerne also joined Kurek in breaking 24 minutes on the 5K course. Andrew Konop was the top boys' finisher with a time of 23:22.
Neither squad had enough runners to score points as a team.
