Volleyball recap: Clippers fall to Southern Door

Sturgeon Bay’s latest win streak would stop at two on Tuesday when they fell to Southern Door in four sets. Pressure was on the Clippers after dropping the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-14. The Clippers would show signs of life when they dominated the third set 25-9. The good fortune would stop there for Sturgeon Bay, in the fourth set Southern Door closed out the match, winning 25-23. With the loss, Sturgeon Bay is now 4-3. The Clippers were lead in kills by Emily Ulberg and Hannah Sternard with 12 each. Lauren Alger accumulated 24 assists. 

 

The Clippers will return to play on Thursday when they face a Sevastopol team who has been on fire, and winners in their last six matches. Though they are only heading a short trip down the road, Sturgeon Bay will be the away team as the Pioneers will host. The opening serve is set for 6:30 P.M.
