The Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol wrestling team will have their last wrestling matches of the season ahead of the state series Thursday night when they wrestle against Peshtigo and Oconto.

All three teams are looking for their first conference wins of the season, partly because of their low numbers. The Clippineers actually won more contested matches against conference-leading Kewaunee earlier this season when they lost 42-30. Nick West, Ben DeNamur, and Drew Barganz all got pins in that dual. DeNamur also had an evening a few weeks ago when they battled Southern Door, Amherst, and Bonduel.

Against a common opponent in Southern Door, Oconto was swept in all three contested matches while Peshtigo's Reese Yunke, Brendan Conn, and Connor Thomas got varsity win as they lost to Southern Door as a team 60-15. Neither team has ranked wrestlers and have less than 10 combined varsity wrestlers between the two schools.

Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Peshtigo.
