Sturgeon Bay boys slowed down by Oconto

The Sturgeon Bay boys' basketball team could crack the 20-point mark in either half as it fell to Oconto Thursday night 51-32.

 

The Blue Devils allowed the Clippers just 16 points each half while starting the game with a 29-16 lead. Oconto got balanced scoring throughout their line up with five players getting at least seven points. The Clippers were led by Anthony Jennerjohn who scored 16 points on the evening behind four made three-pointers. Jack Schmelzer pitched in another eight points. The Blue Devils were able to control of the game from the line, taking advantage of 20 Clippers fouls to go 12-17 in free throws. In contrast, the Clippers were only able to draw 12 fouls and shot only four free throws the entire game. Josh Woller scored 14 points and Kaiden Baxter added 11 points in the Blue Devils victory.

 

The Clippers return to action Monday night when they play at Algoma.
