By the slimmest of margins, Trent Ehlers and his Sturgeon Bay baseball teammates were able to keep their conference championship streak alive. Thanks to Southern Door’s defeating Peshtigo, the Clippers claimed a share of its third straight Packerland Conference championship. It was important for the senior and the Packerland Conference Player of the Year candidate to keep the positive momentum going. After all, Ehlers says his relationship with some of his teammates go well beyond their time in high school.

This week’s Culver’s Door County Student-Athlete of the Week, Ehlers is currently looking at some junior colleges and Wisconsin schools to continue to his baseball career after high school. His Clippers team still has a lot more to accomplish this season beginning with a home game against Algoma Thursday afternoon.
