In a game shortened to 6-innings by the 10-run rule, Sturgeon Bay hammered Southern Door 15-3 on Saturday at Brussels in a Packerland Conference game.
The Eagles jumped to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning, but Max Bordeau's 2-run HR in the top of the 3rd cut the lead to 3-2, and the Clippers took control with a 6-run 4th, followed by 3 runs in the 5th and a final 4-run rally in the 6th. Sturgeon Bay was led by a pair of 2-run home runs from Bordeau. Other players with 2 hits each for the winners included Ryan Jacobson, Trent
Ehlers and winning pitcher Jake Schneider. Schneider retired the last 15 batters he faced, allowing 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1 to earn the mound win. Sturgeon Bay goes to 14-6 for the season and 11-3 in the Packerland.
