Claire Tellstrom scored directly on a corner kick to give Sturgeon Bay a 1-0 lead going into halftime.  NEW made it a tie game early in the second half, but a nasty cross by Sturgeon Bay’s Miranda Olson was driven into the goal by Madison Starr and the Clippers held on for a 2-1 win.  “In close games, defense keeps you in the game, but sometimes your offense has to respond.  Ours did tonight and we keep our hopes for a second Conference Championship alive”.  McKenna Gibson had four saves in goal.
