After a non-conference loss on Monday, the Clipper ship got righted with a 6-2 Packerland Conference win over Southern Door at Sturgeon Bay on Tuesday. A 4-run 1st inning featuring 5 singles provided the final margin of victory. Sturgeon Bay was led by two hits each from Isaac Berkley, Trent Ehlers and Mitchell Jackson. Ehlers winning pitching performance included 11 strikeouts and only 2 walks. In Ehlers' 5.2 innings of work, he yielded only 2 infield singles, allowing no Southern Door hitter to hit the ball out of the infield. Sturgeon Bay goes to (6-1)
for the season and (3-0) in the conference, with their next scheduled game at Gibraltar on Thursday at 5:00 PM.
