In a game played at NEW Lutheran in Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay defeated Marinette 16-9. Leading 4-3 after 3 innings, the Clippers took control with 5 runs in the top of the 4th inning, allowing them to maintain at least a 4-run lead for the
balance of the contest. The Clipper attack was led by Andrew Carbajal 3-4 (all
singles, 2 RBI), Jake Schneider 3-5 (2 singles and a double, 4 RBI), Trent Ehlers 3-5 (2 doubles and a single, 4 RBI), Max Bordeau 2-4 (single and double, 2 RBI), Abram Abeyta 2-4 (both singles, 1 RBI). The pitching duties were shared by Max Bordeau, Anthony Jennerjohn and Chris Lodl, all making their first varsity pitching appearance. 
Sturgeon Bay now travels to Kewaunee tomorrow for a 5 pm start in their first Packerland Conference game of the season.
