Sevastopol responded to its first loss of the season in a big way Friday night.

The Pioneers shut out Niagara 43-0, moving back to 4-1 on the season after falling to Valley Christian a week ago. Sevastopol controlled the matchup from the start and kept Niagara off the scoreboard throughout the night. The scoring came from both sides of the ball as Cash Kuehn scored on a 20-yard pass from Bo Tanck, who registered his own touchdown on a 50-yard run. The Pioneers scored three times on defense as well with Tanck, Jayden McCormick, and Ray Johnson all taking interceptions the other way for touchdowns.

The loss drops Niagara to 1-3 on the season. They were limited to 86 yards on offense, including just 19 yards on 24 attempts.

Sevastopol will look to keep the momentum going next Friday, Sept. 25, when it takes on Oneida Nation. Oneida Nation enters the matchup at 1-4.
