Sevastopol handed Southern Door a tough one Friday, blanking the Eagles 12-0 behind a dominant pitching performance and 12 hits on offense holding Southern Door without a hit.
The Pioneers got the bats going early and never let up. Hatcher Reetz was the big run producer, finishing with three RBIs on two hits including a two-run double in the fourth. Bo Tanck led the way at the plate with three hits, and Chase Haberli and Andrew Wiesner each added multiple hits as Sevastopol piled on through the middle innings.
On the mound it was a combined shutout, with Wiesner tossing two clean innings to open before Logan Schuh slammed the door with four more hitless frames.
The Eagles were highlighted by five walks on the evening preventing the perfect game.
Southern Door hosts Crivitz on Monday at 4:30 p.m. Sevastopol is back at it Saturday with a doubleheader at Sturgeon Bay starting at 11 a.m.??????????????
