The Sevastopol track and field team is set to host a meet Tuesday, welcoming Algoma, Gibraltar, Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy, and Oconto. It will be the Pioneers’ first meet of the season.
The Wolves’ last meet was at Oconto Falls, where they had strong performances in the shot put and pole vault. For the boys, Ethan Melotte took first place, with Lane Cochart finishing second. Cooper Fay earned a second-place finish in the pole vault. On the girls' side, Estella Marrero won the pole vault, while Grace Schwerin and Megan Zimmer both finished in the top five in the shot put.
The Vikings last competed at UW-Oshkosh. Their top finisher was Azucena Jauregui, who placed 15th in the 60-meter hurdles and was part of the 4x200 relay team with Hayden Knudson, Ella Clarke, and Alieen Torres that finished 26th.
The meet begins at 4:30 p.m.
