Sevastopol rallies past Oconto

A few days after illness forced the Pioneers’ game to be canceled, Sevastopol returned home to face Oconto.

The Blue Devils built an early lead and took a 30-26 advantage into halftime.

Just as Sevastopol recovered from illness, it recovered from the deficit, pulling off a second-half rally for a 61-59 win. A big reason why was Logan Schuh, who scored 13 of his team-high 17 points after the break. Andrew Wiesner scored 15 points, and Cash Kuehn added 10 points in the Pioneers' win. It was the Pioneers' first win against Oconto since 2003.

The Pioneers made key plays down the stretch to secure the victory.

Sevastopol (11-10) will play its final three regular-season games on the road, beginning Tuesday at Peshtigo at 7 p.m.
