Pioneers outlast Eagles on their way to conference victory

Sevastopol (8-7) boys played host to Southern Door (2-13) on Tuesday night in a matchup that was competitive throughout.

Southern Door has given teams a tough second half of basketball coming back in multiple games as of late, however Sevastopol was able to do the opposite. After they went into half time tied at 26, the Pioneers came out in the second half and created space for themselves.

Sevastopol outscored Southern Door 32-23 in the second half on their way to a 58-49 victory to hold strong in their Packerland conference standings.

Both teams had three players reach double figures in the game. Bo Tanck and Logan Schuh led the Pioneers with 12 points while Cash Kuehn registered 10 points. Lauden Berg paced the Eagles with a game-high 15 points while Eli Jadin chipped in 14 points and Ryker Lohrey added 10 points.

Sevastopol will face Chilton on Thursday at 7 p.m. wrapping up a three-game homestand.

The Eagles are in the middle of a 5-game road stretch and will travel to Brillion on Thursday for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
