A 30-plus point halftime lead was more than enough to stave off any threats of a comeback in Sevastopol's 77-26 win over Wausaukee on Monday.
Bo Tanck, Cash Kuehn, Damien Lardinois, and Zaul Valdivia all scored at least six points in the first half as the Pioneers sprinted out to a 44-13 halftime lead. Things did not get better for the Rangers as the Pioneers' defense allowed just five made shots from the field after the break. Four Vikings players reached double-figures behind 16 points from Tanck, 12 points from Kuehn, and 11 points from Valdivia and Lardinois. Ten different Pioneers scored at least two points in the win. Gavin Thomson led the Rangers with seven points while two others scored five points.
The Pioneers play again on Friday when they travel around the bay to meet Oconto for a 7 p.m. tip.
