The Sevastopol Pioneers girls basketball team will have to wait until next week to secure their third conference win of the season after it lost to Algoma Thursday evening 43-37.

The Pioneers shot 34 percent from the field and 27 percent from behind the arc. Sienna Cain was the lone Pioneers player to reach double figures with 13 points. Brynn Schartner added six points and two others scored four points.

The Pioneers will play again on Tuesday when they visit Fish Creek to play Gibraltar. Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 5:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the tip-off at 6 p.m.
