Pioneers girls welcome Raiders

The Sevastopol Pioneers girls basketball team returns to action on Monday when they welcome Two Rivers to Institute.

In their 35-19 win over Sturgeon Bay last week, the Pioneers made the most of the extra opportunities given to them from their strong defense which piled up 20 steals. Sienna Cain led on both sides of the ball putting up 15 points while grabbing 8 steals. She had strong support from Braelyn Staats who had 7 points paired with 8 rebounds.

The Raiders have lost three straight contests after winning their first two games. That includes a 64-42 loss to Brillion where they were unable to dig out of a 36-21 halftime deficit. Sophomore Allie Gallagher leads the Raiders in scoring with 12.0 ppg.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
