Sevastopol responded in a big way, sneaking out with a 4-point win over Southern Door Tuesday night, 42-38.
Braelyn Staats led the charge offensively for the Pioneers with 15 and 7 rebounds. Her supporting cast help facilitate the win Lyvia Duessler added 8 points and a crucial 4 assists and 5 steals while Sydney Peterson tabbed 9 points, 3 assists and 2 steals.
When asked about the night Coach Max Hawkins said, "I am extremely proud of the way our team bounced back from game 1. It could’ve been easy to roll over and give up, but that isn’t what this team is built on, and we saw that hard work pays off with a win."
Sevastopol will next compete against Sturgeon Bay on Friday December 5 at Sturgeon Bay High School.
