The Sevastopol Pioneers boys' basketball team had five players reach double figures in their 82-43 win on the road against Goodman/Pembine Monday night.
Damien Lardinois did the heavy lifting in the first half, scoring 13 of his team-high 17 points in the opening frame to pace the Pioneers to a 43-22 lead at the break. Daniel Castillo and Zaul Valdivia carried the torch in the second half with the pair combining to score 18 points to finish the game strong for the Pioneers.
In addition to Lardinois' 17 points, Castillo scored 13 points, Bo Tanch added 12 points, and Andrew Wiesner joined Valdivia with 10 points. Wallen Severson scored 14 points to lead the Patriots in the loss.
The Pioneers hit the road on Thursday to open Packerland Conference play at Southern Door. Jacob Nate will have the call on U-102.1 beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.
