The Sevastopol cross country team played host to eight other teams on Thursday for its annual Pioneer Invitational at Cherry Hills Golf Course in Sturgeon Bay.

 

In the boys race, Aaron Tomaszewski broke up a string of Luxemburg-Casco finishers with a time of 18:25 to come in 8th place overall. Paxton Linnan also slid just under 19 minutes on the 5K course to come in 11th place. For the girls, freshman Breiah Newton once again led the Pioneers with a Top 10 performance and a time of 21:02 on the hilly course.
