The Sevastopol Pioneers survived a stern test late in its match against NEW Lutheran to beat them in five sets 3-2.

After winning the first two sets, the Pioneers had to rebound in the fifth set to win 25-13, 26-24, 18-25, 9-25, 15-12.

The Pioneers' leaders include Brynn Schartner (14 assists, 10 kills, and 10 digs), Kendall Christiansen (16 assists and 11 digs), Leah Schopf, Adison Sawyer, and Hailey Bosman, who each had 13 digs, with Bosman serving five aces.

Next up is a tournament at Algoma on Saturday.
