The Sevastopol girls volleyball team came up short Monday night in Bonduel, falling 3-1 in four sets.

The Pioneers struggled to find their rhythm early, dropping the first two sets only scoring a combined score of 24 (8-25, 16-25). They regrouped in the third, though, earning a 25-19 win to extend the match.

The final set was tightly contested, but Sevastopol’s rally fell just short in a 25-23 loss. Despite the defeat, the Pioneers showed resilience in bouncing back after a slow start.

Now 7-6 on the young season, Sevastopol will look to rebound Thursday when they host Peshtigo at 7 p.m.
