Sevastopol Runs Past Suring for Third Straight Victory

The Sevastopol Pioneers continued their strong start to the season with a 50-22 victory over Suring on Friday night, improving to 3-0 behind another dominant offensive showing.

Quarterback Logan Schuh accounted for four total touchdowns, piling up 132 yards on the ground and 95 through the air to lead the Pioneers’ attack. He was joined in the backfield by a pair of standout performances, as Ray Johnson rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns, and Bo Tanck added 145 rushing yards and a score. Schuh also connected with Cash Kuehn on a 33-yard touchdown pass.

Defensively, Sevastopol came up big with three interceptions. Cash Kuehn, Chase Haberli, and Roman LeClair each hauled in a pick to keep momentum in the Pioneers’ favor.

Sevastopol’s balanced attack on both sides of the ball has them rolling early at 3-0, and they’ll look for another statement win when they travel to state-ranked Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, September 12th at 7:00 p.m.
