Zaul Valdivia matched the visiting Goodman-Pembine Patriots in the first half as the Sevastopol boys basketball team cruised to a 74-27 win.
Valdivia scored 17 of his team-leading 23 points in the first half to send the Pioneers to the locker room leading 36-17. While he cooled off in the second half, Bo Tanck was more than willing to take over as he registered nine of his 15 points after the break. Logan Schuh and Cash Kuehn each had eight points while Damien Lardinois chipped in six points in the win. Chase Kozelek led the Patriots with nine points, all of which came in the first half.
