Pioneers boys can't stop the Storm

The Sevastopol Pioneers boys' basketball team could not keep up with one of the Packerland Conference's best teams, losing to Kewaunee 77-37 in Institute on Friday night.

 

The Storm jumped out to a 35-20 halftime lead thanks to 12 points from Avery Jerabek and 10 from Dane Harrell. Logan Schuh tried his best to keep the Pioneers close, registering 10 points in the opening frame. 

 

The Storm opened things up in the second half, outscoring the Pioneers 42-17 after the break. Four Storm players ended up in double figures, with Jerabek scoring 20 points, Diesel Bosdeck adding 15 points, Connor Kilgore chipping in 14 points, and Harrell contributing 12 points. The Pioneers could only muster seven made field goals in the second half, leaving Schuh with a team-high 12 points and Zaul Valdivia, Damien Lardinois, and Lucas Delsart scoring five points apiece.
