The Sevastopol Pioneers boys basketball team carried a 22-15 advantage into the break and never let go in its 47-37 win Monday night against Suring.
Bo Tanck carried the torch offensively for the Pioneers in the decisive first half, scoring 10 of his team-high 12 points in the opening frame. When the Eagles focused Tanck in the second half, Logan Schuh and Zaul Valdivia picked up their game as they both scored seven of their nine points in the second half. Reid Kacmarynski and Damien Lardinois added five points in the Pioneers win. The Eagles had Taylor Booth-Stoffregen score 16 points and Michael Bailey add 12 points in the loss. No other Eagles players scored more than three points.
