The Sevastopol girls basketball team will have to wait until Tuesday to get back into the win column after losing to Manitowoc Lutheran at home on Saturday 73-60.
Makiah Krause and Lilly Mehlhorn combined for 17 first-half points to lead the Lancers to a 36-26 advantage at halftime. Kayla Ranly did her part to keep the Pioneers in the game, drilling two three-pointers in the first half and three more after the break to lead the Pioneers with 22 points. Naomi Rikkola made up for a relatively quiet first half to score 14 of her 20 in the second half. Rikkola's big second-half was countered by the Rebels' Sinessa Ermis, who scored 15 second-half points en route to a team-high 18 points. Krause ended her day with 12 points, while Mehlhorn and Addison Kirte each added 11 points.
The Pioneers are back in action on Tuesday night when they host Gibraltar. Tim Kowols and Jacob Nate will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 7 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the tip off at 7:15 p.m.
