Naomi Rikkola scored 17 of her game-high 24 points in the first quarter to help the Sevastopol Pioneers girls basketball team sprint past the Hilbert Wolves on Thursday 69-18.
The Pioneers took a 40-9 advantage into the break as they knocked down five shots from behind the arc to pair with its suffocating defense. Kayla Ranly chipped in 15 points and Sienna Cain added 10 points in the victory that saw five other players score at least two points. Liz Schneider scored 11 points for the Wolves in the loss.
