Pioneers girls avenge sectional loss, beat Rebels in Oshkosh

The Sevastopol Pioneers girls' basketball team took round two against Wabeno-Laona on Saturday afternoon at the Oshkosh Arena, beating them 50-39.

 

The Pioneers outscored the Rebels 24-13 in the first half before the two teams played level in the second half.

 

Leading scorer Kayla Ranly did most of her damage in the second half, scoring 15 of her team-high 22 points after the break. Naomi Rikkola added 14 points and two others scored at least four points in the win. Lily Terry had a similar game to Ranly for the Rebels, scoring 12 of her team-high 14 points in the second half. Rylee Yaeger scored nine points and two others registered seven points for the Rebels in the loss.
