Lemieux pins her way to third place finish in Shawano

The Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol wrestling team kicked off the weekend with two of its girls competing in Shawano on Friday night.

 

Tiani Lemieux (145 lbs) pinned three of her four opponents en route to a third-place finish. Lanie Brauer (167 lbs) won three of her five matches, suffering a heart-breaking loss in the third-place match by sudden victory.

On Saturday, Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol will host its annual Dirk Sorenson Tournament with Bay Port, Crivitz, Denmark, Freedom, Gillett, Green Bay Preble, Iron Mountain, Lena, Little Chute, Marinette, Oconto, Oshkosh West, Palmyra-Eagle, Southern Door, Suring, Two Rivers, Valders, Wittenberg-Birnamwood, and Wrightstown will also participate in the tournament beginning at 8 a.m.
