The Sevastopol girls' basketball team will play their second game of the post-holiday week on Thursday when they travel to Reedsville.
The Pioneers started 2024 by cruising to a 72-30 victory over Oneida Nation on Tuesday night at home. Jumping out to a 37-10 lead at halftime, the Pioneers never looked back, on their way to nailing nine three-pointers during the game. Kayla Ranly led the way with 17 points, followed by Libby Ash with 16 points, and Naomi Rikkola added 13 more.
The Panthers snapped a three-game losing streak last weekend in the Manitowoc Holiday Tournament when they beat Two Rivers 43-32 before falling to Roncalli 59-43. Mallory Novy averages a double-double while leading the Panthers in scoring and rebounding.
