Pioneer girls top Algoma

In a matchup of two top teams in the Packerland Conference, the Sevastopol Pioneers prevailed over the Algoma Wolves in a tough,low-scoring 37-30 win at Sevastopol High School.

Sevastopol held a 15-12 lead at halftime and outscored the Wolves 22-18 in the second half to win.  The Pioneers were 8/11 from the free-throw line to salt away the game.

The Pioneers used a balanced attack, with three players scoring double figures. Katie Spude knocked down 13 points, Izzy Andreae scored 11, and Kayla Ranly added ten more.

Rylee Zimmerman led Algoma with 11 points and Jaydn Nellis with nine.
