Pioneers boys take road trip to Mishicot

The Sevastopol Pioneers boys' basketball team will wait another day to open Packerland play as they take a trip to Mishicot on Thursday to battle the Indians.

The Pioneers fell in their last game to Wausaukee 52-39. They were down six at the break and could not get closer in the second half. No players reached double figures in the loss, with Lucas Delsart leading with seven points while Zaul Valdivia and Logan Schuh each scored six. The Rangers' Suennen siblings did the Pioneers in, with Kayden scoring 26 points and Evan adding 14.

Thursday will serve as the season opener for the Indians after they went 3-22 last season, including a 0-19 conference mark. Nick Parma will try to reverse the team's fortunes after scoring just over 10 points a game last year, which was the second-best on the team.

Tip-off in Mishicot is set for 7:15 p.m.
