Sevastopol softball faces Vikings Saturday

The Sevastopol Pioneers softball team has been on a roll to begin the season so far, they hope to continue that when they welcome in the visiting Gibraltar Vikings Saturday morning.

In their most recent game, the Sevastopol Pioneers had their way with the Goodman-Pembine Patriots, doubling them up with a score of 8-4. Addison Schauske kept the visiting Patriots under control in her three innings of work, striking out five while allowing just a single run. Claire Haberli led the way with two hits and two RBI while Alaina Schopf and Jolene Luedtke each scored a pair of runs.

Gibraltar’s last game was against the NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy Blazers. The Vikings were 0-11 last season and will look to play upset to the Sevastopol Pioneers, a team that they lost to last year by a score of 29-0.

First pitch of the doubleheader from Institute is set for 11:00 a.m.
