Pioneers girls keep undefeated conference mark in sight after win in Oconto

The Sevastopol Pioneers scored more points in the first half than they allowed in the entire game as they rolled 67-36 against Oconto in Packerland girls' basketball action.

The Pioneers took a 37-7 lead into halftime thanks to limiting the Blue Devils to just one made field goal and 19 first-half points for Kayla Ranly. Ranly would score 34 points on the night, with Naomi Rikkola chipping in 13 points. With much of the defensive focus on her, Bailey Rikkola scored nine points on the night, seven of which came after the break.

The Blue Devils would find their offensive stroke in the second half, with leading scorer Addisyn Viestenz scoring all of her team-high 13 points after the break and Natalie Schuleter adding eight points.

The Pioneers will go for the perfect season on Saturday when they play Peshtigo.
