Rikkola looks to crack 1,000 points vs. Sturgeon Bay

Sevastopol's Bailey Rikkola is getting closer to basketball immortality with every shot she makes this week, including Tuesday night at home against Sturgeon Bay.

According to Wissports.net, the elder Rikkola unofficially has 953 points in her Pioneers career, which is likely closer to the 1,000-point mark in the actual stat books. She has been averaging over 17 points a game this season, including 19 points in the Pioneers' slim 53-51 win over Southern Door last week.

The Clippers fell hard to Peshtigo 71-29 in their last game. The Clippers were led in scoring by senior Autumn Rass with 13 points, with sophomore Dasha Yeltysheva adding 10 points.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
